Nestled in the heart of Orangevale, Dirtbag Tea Cafe is a welcoming gem that uniquely blends the charm of a cafe, bakery, coffee shop, and convenience store all under one roof. This cozy spot has quickly become a haven not just for those craving expertly crafted coffee and delectable baked goods, but also for anyone passionate about plant-based dining that never compromises on flavor or satisfaction.
The culinary offerings here are a vibrant celebration of vegan comfort food, thoughtfully designed to appeal to both dedicated vegans and curious newcomers alike. For lunch, Dirtbag Tea Cafe shines with their signature vegan grilled “cheddah” sandwich and the indulgent vegan cheeseburger, served on a warm, house-baked bun alongside fresh lettuce, tomato, and their signature Paisley pink sauce, creating a playful yet deeply flavorful bite.
It’s clear from every mouthwatering item that freshness and quality are paramount. The oversized cinnamon rolls, both classic and vegan versions, promise a decadent balance of premium cinnamon and rich creamery butter (vegan butter for the plant-based version) — they’re a sweet treat that lingers long after the first bite.

The bakery and jams available for purchase extend the cafe experience beyond the table, allowing you to bring home a bit of Dirtbag’s unique flavor palette.

Amazing food! I am a travel nurse working night shift and decided to give this place a try when I got off work. The manager Eric was so pleasant and kind! I was the only one in the restaurant at the time and I didn’t want to dine in alone but I’m so glad I did! Great energy and vibes! Eric made sure I was taken care of from the moment I sat down. The best vegan sausage I’ve had hands down! Will be returning! So glad I decided to give this place a try.
You'll miss it if you blink, so don't blink. Instead, turn into the parking lot and enter The Paisley Cafe. This small, low-key, and friendly cafe is scrupulously clean and has a unique, but limited, menu with your choice of vegan or not-vegan choices. Be sure and check their out-of-the-ordinary monthly specials and their attractive pastries. They pour a special blend of coffee, and are open for breakfast and lunch. The food is delicious and attractively presented.
Phenomenal! The manager Eric was super kind and accommodating, and went out of his way to offer ways for the specials to be made vegan. I got the biscuit breakfast sandwich and it was excellent, great sausage and vegan egg, wonderful biscuit, and perfectly cooked potatoes on the side. Great portion size too, I had leftovers to take home. Will definitely be back to try more items - it's not easy to find great vegan breakfast and these guys have it!
All I can say is... POACHED PEAR WAFFLES!! Soo unbelievably tasty and gluten free too! I couldn't believe it. Large portions, even had some to take home because I couldn't stuff anymore in... Fresh ingredients, they do it all from scratch... Beautifully presented! We were quite impressed! I was looking at the wide variety of jams here and you can buy them to take home... and you'll want to... All hand-crafted with that touch of home... The flavors are amazing; some I haven't had since grandma was alive... Can't believe it all was that good! They have an espresso machine for all your morning whims, but their drip coffee is the best I've had in a long time anywhere... I can't wait to go back!
I've been wanting to try this restaurant since they opened and advertised plant based vegan meals. We arrived before the big crowds for sure. They let you pick your table and make you feel welcoas soon as you walk in the door. They have a normal menu and an all plant based menu. There are also specials behind the cash register. The baked goods looked good. We did not get any. Definitely recommend the hangover cure. Be prepared there is no alcohol. Stop in when they're open, you won't regret it.
Usually when I order takeout at other locations, they really skimp on the serving. I love how Paisley filled up my large plate very, very well. Food is hearty, flavorful, and delicious! I tend to add salt to my food too, but I didn’t have to this time. Well seasoned! Good job, ladies!! Also, customer service is very friendly staff. Keep up the good work y’all and be blessed
A surprising discovery in a quiet corner. Super friendly service!! This little cafe serves a full menu. Even better, they serve biscuits and gravy. Best of all, they serve breakfast all day. In a cereal bowl is my new favorite way to eat biscuits and gravy.
The vegan food was delicious! So nice to have so many different vegan options and especially brunch! So glad I discovered this place, only wish it was closer to home. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend. Yes it was closed to inside dining and only option was food "to-go", but we were able to sit outside and enjoy the nice day. Understandable during this tough staffing and pandemic time.
